The kid and Mammy2 both started new jobs on Monday. The kid was chuffed she got offered some cosmectics job, turned out it wasn’t quite as glamourous as it sounded. 8 until 6, walking everywhere trying to sell cosmectics to people. Its not something that would suit her and as it turned out it didn’t. Monday
night was spent on the couch with Mammy2 on one end falling asleep and the kid on the other rubbing her feet. She sounded like she was enjoying it but you never can tell with her. Yesterday turned into a mental day. Workwise I am slightly under pressue with deliveries but I am on top of it. So when I got the familar 50001 from her, I knew something was up. For those of you unfamilar with Meteor, the 50001 indicates the person has no credit and would like you to call them. Works great for teenagers who very rarely have credit. She had left the girl she was selling stuff with, wandered off as she was having a panic attack and was now at some bus station on the southside somewhere. Thankfully I managed to calm her down somewhat and between sobs and hiccups she found a sign post which I could then look up and see where she was. Of course she had no money and her feet were blistered from walking around all morning. Once I had calmed her down I rang the boyf. There was much back and forth trying to get him directions, telling her to stay put and so on. Eventaully he got to her and she was sounding much better. One headache over. Then as it turns out they don’t have keys for the apartment and they needed to get in and get their stuff. I went to an ATM, got money out told them to get a taxi and then gave them the keys and paid for the taxi back into town. She arrives, the wallet empties, she leaves. Its what teenagers are all about really isn’t it?!

My head was in no fit state for work after that, I did some but your head is all over the place. Mammy2 thankfully is doing great although she is shattered a lot of the time. The corporate world works slightly different hours to the journalist world but so far so good. She is already invite to a team dinner organised by the company and paid for as well. She’s heading out with them next week I think it is. This week back in work has been a bit of adjusting, espeically when you are coming back from a few days off the previous week. Also with all going on with the kid its been a busy one. Thankfully the weekend looks quiet apart from my birthday. Not doing anything major for it, just decided to have dinner with the mates S and A. There is a big GAA game on Saturday, the Dubs take on Tyrone so here’s hoping as it is my birthday they will do Westmeath a favour and knock Tyrone out That would be a very nice birthday pressie Now I believe there is some code waiting to be written.
