Oh what a stressful morning
Finally after an hour of ringing and accessing the webpage that constantly says “We are expierencing technical difficulties” I have 5 tickets to see The Year of Magical Thinking starring Vanessa Redgrave. Based on the book by Joan Didion it is the highlight of the Dublin Theatre Festival and I had a feeling it would sell out. The trouble is when you are rounding people up to go there’s the money issue and with my wages not going in until tomorrow I was worried we’d be short. Then there’s the trying to get through to people to get them to transfer the money. Then comes the waiting to order. THEN when you
get all the way through to putting in your card details they tell you they don’t take Laser. All this whilst your project manager is standing over you awaiting your presence at the daily project update meeting. It was delayed by 5 minutes but I got my tickets 
I was in early as well to be sure
I would be ready for when the box office opened. I really think they need to relook at their online booking system because it fell over as soon as people started accessing it. You’d think after a few years they’d realise how popular it is?
Yesterday evening the brother and his gf travelled all the way up to the city for a birthday dinner. I am making it last long alright. He got me a deadly Westmeath rain jacket and a t-shirt. Now all I need is Westmeath socks and underwear and I am ready to roll We went to the old reliable Luigi Malone’s
which weren’t having a good evening. The brother’s steak arrived looking very burnt on the outside and pink on the inside. He had asked for it well done. The poor fella never really has any luck with steaks, the last time we went out for dinner and he ordered steak, he’s a creature of habit, and it never arrived. He was none too impressed.Usually though you can rely on Luigi Malones so we were surprised. He spoke with the manager and in fairness to them they removed it from the bill. Our food was all fine, the again its hard to go wrong with pizza and salad.
The workload the last 2 days has been very heavy with work and other work. I don’t know why I do this to myself but thankfully its calming down now. I really wanted to get cracking on the new software for my website angrypotato. We are changing forum software, its relatively straightforward but I just need to skin the website. Not as in flay it alive, more like apply the old look to the new software. There aren’t many differences between SMF and Snitz except it loads a lot faster and hopefully will have less of the snitz sneezes. I feel like the spud is growing up and need software that scales rather falls over when there are too many users. Perhaps the issue isn’t Snitz but I think its time for a change. Tonight to get the body as tired as the brain I return to training. After 3 weeks absence I am really starting to feel unfit. And sure giving someone a good bayting never hurt anyone. Wait that came out slightly wrong
