Sunshine and slow news day

I hate April’s fool day with a passion, its such a stupid idea and yet every you look on the web there are stories, sorry jokes. From the
this one
Pope: Gays Only “Somewhat” Intrinsically Evil which I should have really copped but alas not to this one. I mean really, what are the odds on a fecking sea turtle knowing where the nearest sea turtle hospital is? I blame the mate D for everything including April bloody fools day. We met up with him last night for a bite to eat and a few drinks. Considering our tolerence is gradually getting worse due to less going out, I am in rag order today. This is the reason for updating my website with pretend news stories. Well I reckon so anyway. To add insult to injury, I was looking forward to a nice lunch and it was mank. I am still unwell but sure tis my own fault. The mate D is in great form, soon to be a dad again. His wife is due in September and he has asked us if we would be godparents. Both myself and Mammy2. We were chuffed. He has to check with the church to see if its okay to have 4 godparents, because tradition says that the best man and head bridesmaid has to be the godparents and so D wants to have 4 including us. Even if its not allowed, it was nice of him to ask.

This last week has been a rollercoaster. Mammy2 nearly losing her job and just about holding onto it. The panic about money and having to stop any baby making plans led to stress. Thankfully things have settled down. She’s taking it month by month and in the meantime we try and clear as many of our loans as possible. Easier said then done, with that cursed credit card bill.

The kid and her man stayed over last night. She has a portfolio interview today which she is heading to. I think its more for the expierence then anything as she has her eye on the portfolio one in Bray which would be much easier to get to travel wise. Its a year long one and then from there hopefully, she would reapply to college and get in. She was chattering on about this new friend she has which I was delighted to hear about. She has no female friends at all and I think when you’re 19 you can do with some gal pals. Well, this girl Bebod her or something. She used to go to the same school as the kid, was one of the quieter ones. So perhaps they’ll hang out. Its sad that I am excited about her having a mate. All part of being a parent.

She just was just onto gchat to me now.

“Walking past juvy hall, and some scumbags told me I looked like death warmed up”

I re-iterated the phrase back to her with the emphasis on Juvy hall. Nuff said.

And whilst al-Bashir avoids an arrest, Australians are up in arms over this

2 women. In a soap opera. Kissing. Well I never. Good pun headline here at Same Same Home And Away Sets The Record Straight and an good quote from the writer

“The thing that saddens me, as a gay writer, is that a beautiful six week story has been reduced to a facile argument about six missing seconds of screen time and that the bulk of the commentators, both conservative and liberal, are making pronouncements on story material they know nothing of. We long for the day when we can run a story like this and they can just play in the context of the show.
