Too long between posts…

The last week has been exhausting! Once the big move happened its still taking some getting used to the new building, where everything is and the sortof new dress code. The big plus I reckon is the commute. From a 45 min commute involving walking and buses to a 15 minute walk is a huge improvement. The amount of time I have to spare in the mornings and evenings is great though. Well it would be in the mornings if I didn’t have to get up early anyways and update a few of my websites which I don’t have access to in the new office. Restricting web access to the online team. There is a joke in there just waiting to be told :) Top off last week with a few mates bdays and a living do and come the weekend I was ready for sleep and that’s about it. The HSD has other plans though. One mate, the lovely man who accompanied me to the Ploughing Championships was celebrating his bday on Thursday
and so I put in appearence there. Word of warning, never have a pint after training. I think there must have been a funnel attached to it as I knocked it back. I thought I was being good by going training! Which has been difficult with the dodgy shoulder.

Thankfully shoulder is on the road to recovery seeing as I have been good and doing no heavy bag work or pad work with it it seems to be doing okay. Phsyio lady has said I can go to her every 2 weeks which I feel is progress. She did point out that if she could get me to relax my posture on a daily basis, I would be able to get straight back into training. Its easier said then done. I had no
idea I carried around so much tension in the poor ould shoulders. Been trying to work on relaxing them now buts its tough. Back to birthdays. Friday was a work do, one of the girls is leaving so we were out in town for her do and then I had to head across town to another mate’s bday drinks. I knew a few heads there and when they left, it turned into keep Shelly entertained night by the mate or her gf seating a randomer beside me every 15 mins. It felt like speed dating. I turned around at one stage and mate’s gf pointed to no longer vacant spot beside me where a fellow ‘Dolly Parton’ fan sat. It was a good night but I was exhausted from the previous night out, 2 nights in a row people, its hardcore. My cue to leave arrived towards the end of the night. This ‘friend’ of the mates who’s all about air kisses and falseness. So I air kissed my way outta there. Was wrecked on Sat but crawled out of bed to go training as I hadn’t made the Sat class in a few weeks and I’ll be missing next weeks one due to the responsiblities of being a godmother :D

We had date night that evening. Courtesy of a mate’s bday gift voucher we had dinner in 1014. Its a really nice restuarent and well worth the trip out of the city. The only criticism I would give was the lack of vegetarian options and the snotty Maître d’. The table was a tad rocky when we arrived so Mammy2 took the napkin and was about to pop it under the offending leg when Maître d’ arrived over faster then the time it took Mammy2 to fix it. She muttered something about not doing that and whisked herself off again. Making no effort to fix the table for us. Thankfully another waiter was attentive and he arrived over and sorted us out. As it seems from observing her the off time throughout the night she was highly strung. I reckon someone peed in her cornflakes. Just an observation like.
