Full Circle
It feels like it with regards the kid at the mo. She’s very funny. Basically she had her teenage/going wild days at an earlier age then most and so hence now in her course she is the pillar of maturity. I know, I never thought I’d live to see the day. One of the girls, a mate of hers, keeps going on about going out and getting drunk off her head and doing all sorts of mad things. She went out last night to Fibbers last week when the first cheque for the grant came through and blew most of it, lost 300 of it and had to pay 200 to the taxi driver cause she threw up in the car. I tried explaining to the kid that this what she was like a few
years ago so perhaps give her mate a break. She txts me this morning:
“Walked over to her, said hello, her opening is a scowl and talking openly about wanitng to die (moany not crying) and then asks will I come to fibbers tmorro, fibbers! Again!”
She doesn’t suffer fools gladly, she’s very like Mam in that respect. Back in her wild days, she’d be out every night of the week. I think with her she doesn’t feel strong enough to take care of someone else who is exhibiting the exact same self desctructive pattern she went through when she was 15. Which is fair enough. But sometimes I wish she’d give people a break and not be so quick to judge. Just because you’ve gone through a similar situation, sometimes you have to let the other person work it out
for themselves. When did I get so wise?! I scare myself at times 
Thank god so far she’s sticking it out. I really didn’t think she’d last for various reasons, the commute and ehr love of sleep being the main ones but she is doing okay. If she makes it to christmas I reckon we’re safe. Then its the fun of preparing the portfolio and dealing with whatever sort of letters come from the college. Fun times ahead. The joys of being a big sister/guardian.
The little niece/nephew should be with us soon. According to the sister, the head is engaged. For me I have this image of the little un in a Star Trek uniform making some comment about Captain’s Log and so on.. Perhaps its because I am strange. Its all very exciting Stay tuned!
